Meet & Greet: JP: 8. Trading Information - Story

This story teaches children how to trade information (show interest and share interests) when meeting someone new.  They are reminded to show interest in their peer by asking questions and follow up questions.  They are then taught to respond with sharing their own interests or experiences.  They are reminded not to ask too many questions at once, to stay on topic, and not to talk about themselves for too long.  When trading information about their likes/dislikes, they can find common interests.  Finding a common interest is an excellent starting point to connect or converse with someone.
